Join us on January 11th to participate in a city-wide Red Sand Project at the City Services Center!
The location is next to the Columbus Public Library off Macon Road. This installation will take place after the City Council Meeting on January 11th. We will be receiving a Proclamation to acknowledge Human Trafficking Awareness Month and our cities dedication to protecting vulnerable and exploited youth. We would love for you to join us!
If you would like to participate in your own Red Sand project please locate the Get Involved Tab at the top of our web page. Under this tab you will find the option Red Sand Project. Please fill out the information and we will be in touch!
We will provide each organization with sand a Red Sand Project sign!
Red Sand Project is a participatory artwork created by Molly Gochman that uses sidewalk interventions and earthwork installations to create opportunities for people to question, connect and take action against vulnerabilities that can lead to human trafficking and exploitation.
Today, 40.3 million people are in slavery (Red Sand Project).
Take part in raising awareness for those affected by modern day slavery. Join the movement by filling sidewalk cracks with red sand and document your sidewalk transformation on social media using #RedSandProject #MicahsPromise
