The Light of Mercy
“There is one ray of hope when I remember this: Yahweh’s tender MERCIES have no end, and the kindness of His endless love is never exhausted. New fresh MERCIES greet me with every sunrise. So wonderfully great is your faithfulness… so I will put all my hope in Him!”
Lamentations 3:21-24
“MERCY is at the heart of Micah’s Promise, shaping everything we do. We are an organization of second chances, anchored in Lamentations 3, which is displayed in the conference room of the Girl’s Therapy Home. Here, caseworkers, law enforcement, Division of Family & Child Services (DFCS), and our leadership meet to discuss each survivor. Together, we push back the darkness, offering new mercies each morning and showing survivors that the source of this kind of mercy has no end! This year, we’ve experienced mercy firsthand through storms and challenges, and you, our supporters, have been partners and friends, walking with us to deliver hope and healing.”
- Bobbi Starr, Executive Director for Micah’s Promise
Even in the darkest moments, God’s faithfulness shines as a light of MERCY, renewing our HOPE each morning. Jeremiah’s lament reminds us of life’s hardships, yet Yahweh’s tender mercies are endless, constant, and consistent, like the sunrise. At Micah’s Promise, we see this truth come alive as we extend second chances and push back the darkness for survivors. Just as His faithfulness sustains us, we’re called to be a light of mercy to others.
We invite you to reflect on God’s endless mercy and consider giving the gift of a second chance by supporting:
Trauma-informed therapy to help girls heal from the deep wounds of exploitation and abuse.
Onsite education and life skills training that equip survivors to rebuild their futures with confidence and independence.
The safe, nurturing home environment where daily care, meals, and support foster healing, hope, and wholeness.
